Highly Entertaining Naruto Animation

Naruto is an action and comedy packed animation series which has Naruto Uzumaki, a ninja kid at the centre of its story.

It was originally created for TV Tokyo, the Japanese channel and was produced by Studio Pierrot. Studio Pierrot produced the animated version and Viz Media released it in Northern America.

The first telecast of Naruto Episodes was aired on Oct 3 2002 on TV Tokyo and continued till Feb 8 2007 and its English-dubbed series on cartoon network’s toonami was released from Sep 10 2005 onwards with cartoon network continuing to air it on the main channel even after stoppage of its toonami version, which proves the popularity of the series. With the series soon climbing the popularity charts cartoon network brought the series to its main channel to cater to its vast fan following.

The story is set up against the backdrop of a village called Konohagakure which is depicted as one among the five Shinobi nations. It is one among the five great Shinobi nations and it is here where Naruto engages in all kinds of mischief trying to prove his bravery and expertise in ninja. He constantly engages in one or the other adventure in an effort to grab attention and to exhibit his ninja skills to become the Hokage, the title equal to the rulers of the country. It has many characters like his friends Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno and many more coming into existence by serendipity as the story moves ahead with the kid’s slow transformation into a ninja expert.

Bionix and another channel Jetix UK also aired the Naruto episodes. Masashi Kishimoto’s comic series manga comprised 27 volumes which were later made into 220 episodes. However the ninja kid’s fans so far have only been treated to 209 Naruto episodes. Although Viz hopes to show the rest of them soon, no official assertion has been made.

But there’s good news for the die hard fans of the ninja superhero because the producers have been bringing out DVD’s with each disc compiling around 15 Naruto episodes. They have taken great care to make sure that the DVD’s include the episodes with minimum cuts so that viewers are not disappointed. There are also DVDs containing episodes of the series for every season and some containing selected scenes of the series. Further around 135 Naruto episodes have been compressed into a single disc titled ‘Naruto The Best Scene’. The famous Naruto episodes are also available on the web. Naruto has also been immortalized in a movie version which is great news for all diehard fans of the Naruto episodes and escapades.
